Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Dallas, TX)

Greenridge Bright Water Authority is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for billing accounts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Our work is invisible when it goes well, and we are proud of that. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about billing accounts into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with billing accounts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Dallas, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
