Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Dallas, TX)

Summit Pike Learning Group runs classrooms and tutoring across the Dallas area. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. Families are partners. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about school calendars into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with school calendars. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Dallas. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
