Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Columbus, OH)

Redstone Yarrow Facilities cleans and maintains buildings for schools, offices and hospitals around Columbus. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. You would join a small organisation of about 17 people based in Columbus. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about safety inspections into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with safety inspections. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Columbus. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
