Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Columbus, OH)

Cedar Union Care Services is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Columbus. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about visit scheduling into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with visit scheduling. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Columbus, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
