Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Columbus, OH)

Harborlight Corner Learning Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for enrolment, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Collaboration between teachers and staff is strong. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about enrolment into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with enrolment. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Columbus. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
