Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Colorado Springs, CO)

Clearpath Nest Water Authority operates treatment plants and pipelines around Colorado Springs, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about water quality into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with water quality. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Colorado Springs. • We reply to every applicant.
