Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Cincinnati, OH)

Northwind Harbor Energy is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for billing disputes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Cincinnati. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about billing disputes into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with billing disputes. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Cincinnati. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
