Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Chicago, IL)

Clearpath Glen Telecom provides broadband and phone service around Chicago. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. Technicians and office staff share information daily. What you will do • Turn requests about customer tickets into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with customer tickets. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Chicago, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
