Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Charlotte, NC)

Clearpath Sable Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Charlotte area, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would join a small organisation of about 35 people based in Charlotte. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with treatment plant data. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Charlotte. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
