Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Charleston, SC)

Summit Clear Energy Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for outage response, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about outage response into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with outage response. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Charleston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
