Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Charleston, SC)

Highbridge Wren Energy is an energy provider in Charleston focused on reliable service and fair billing. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. You would join a large organisation of about 712 people based in Charleston. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about meter readings into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with meter readings. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Charleston. • We reply to every applicant.
