Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Buffalo, NY)

Bluepeak Cross Facilities is a facilities company in Buffalo with crews on day and night shifts. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. Our crews keep other people's buildings running and we treat them well. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about safety inspections into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with safety inspections. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Buffalo, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
