Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Buffalo, NY)

Summit Quill Legal Group provides legal services in Buffalo across employment, housing and small-business law. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. Confidentiality and accuracy are taken very seriously. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about court deadlines into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with court deadlines. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Buffalo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
