Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Buffalo, NY)

Summit Ember Medical is a Buffalo company producing monitoring and surgical equipment, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would join a small organisation of about 24 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about device records into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with device records. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Buffalo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
