Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Buffalo, NY)

Cedar Quill Facilities is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for work orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 92 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about work orders into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with work orders. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Buffalo. • We reply to every applicant.
