Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Buffalo, NY)

Rivermark Keystone Telecom is a telecommunications provider in Buffalo focused on reliable home and business connections. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. You would join a large organisation of about 837 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about outage reports into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with outage reports. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Buffalo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
