Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Boston, MA)

Bluepeak Bridge Care Services supports families and individuals in Boston with personal care and coordination, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would join a large organisation of about 830 people based in Boston. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about visit scheduling into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with visit scheduling. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Boston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
