Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Birmingham, AL)

Foxglove Meadow Medical Group is a Birmingham company producing monitoring and surgical equipment, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about clinical evaluations into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with clinical evaluations. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
