Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Birmingham, AL)

Stonegate Ivory Health Group provides primary and specialty care in Birmingham, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. Continuing education is supported. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about insurance authorisations into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with insurance authorisations. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
