Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Anchorage, AK)

Highbridge Pine Water Authority is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for treatment plant data, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 37 people based in Anchorage. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about treatment plant data into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with treatment plant data. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Anchorage. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
