Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Anchorage, AK)

Greenridge Beacon Water Authority Partners is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for water quality, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 55 people based in Anchorage. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about water quality into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with water quality. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Anchorage. • We reply to every applicant.
