Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Albuquerque, NM)

Cedar North Insurance Group sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Albuquerque, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would join a large organisation of about 420 people based in Albuquerque. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about customer complaints into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with customer complaints. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Albuquerque. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
