Software Engineer - mobile experience (Wichita, KS)

Cedar Ember Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Wichita. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on mobile experience. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about claims into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Wichita. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
