Software Engineer - mobile experience (Seattle, WA)

We are growing our team at Cedar Beacon Water Authority and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be mobile experience. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about meter reading into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with meter reading. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Seattle. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
