Software Engineer - mobile experience (San Diego, CA)

Cedar Birch Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in San Diego working with agencies and riders, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our mobile experience. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with accessibility audits. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in San Diego, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
