Software Engineer - mobile experience (San Diego, CA)

Ironwood Granite Insurance is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on mobile experience for claims, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 36 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about claims into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
