Software Engineer - mobile experience (Sacramento, CA)

Ironwood Beacon Community Partners is a Sacramento charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on mobile experience. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Turn requests about volunteer shifts into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with volunteer shifts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Sacramento. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
