Software Engineer - mobile experience (Richmond, VA)

Northwind Lakeside Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Richmond area. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on mobile experience. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about billing accounts into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with billing accounts. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Richmond, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
