Software Engineer - mobile experience (Reno, NV)

Silverline Union Energy is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on mobile experience for hardship programmes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 125 people based in Reno. What you will do • Turn requests about hardship programmes into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with hardship programmes. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Reno. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
