Software Engineer - mobile experience (remote)

Rivermark Nest Community Partners runs community programmes across Cincinnati. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on mobile experience. You would join a small organisation of about 25 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Turn requests about volunteer shifts into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with volunteer shifts. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Cincinnati. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
