Software Engineer - mobile experience (remote)

Lumen Bright Financial is a financial-services company in Chicago, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our mobile experience. Teams collaborate across risk, service and technology. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about payment disputes into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with payment disputes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
