Software Engineer - mobile experience (remote)

We are growing our team at Lumen Pike Learning Group and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be mobile experience. We follow the school calendar and we like people who like learning. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about family communication into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with family communication. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Seattle. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
