Software Engineer - mobile experience (remote)

Westbrook Pike Learning Group operates schools and learning programmes around Wichita, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our mobile experience. We follow the school calendar and we like people who like learning. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with attendance records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Wichita. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
