Software Engineer - mobile experience (remote)

Highbridge Corner Learning Group operates schools and learning programmes around Milwaukee, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our mobile experience. We follow the school calendar and we like people who like learning. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about student accounts into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with student accounts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Milwaukee. • We reply to every applicant.
