Software Engineer - mobile experience (remote)

Cedar Hollow Energy delivers power and gas plans across the Indianapolis region. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on mobile experience. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about billing disputes into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with billing disputes. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Indianapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
