Software Engineer - mobile experience (remote)

Highbridge Mill Transit Planning is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on mobile experience for accessibility audits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about accessibility audits into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with accessibility audits. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Portland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
