Software Engineer - mobile experience (remote)

Westbrook Birch Energy delivers power and gas plans across the Milwaukee region. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on mobile experience. We work closely with regulators and communities. What you will do • Turn requests about hardship programmes into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with hardship programmes. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Milwaukee. • We reply to every applicant.
