Software Engineer - mobile experience (remote)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Summit Water Authority and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be mobile experience. You would join a small organisation of about 47 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about water quality into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with water quality. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Miami. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
