Software Engineer - mobile experience (remote)

Westbrook Thistle Early Learning is an early-learning provider in Grand Rapids. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on mobile experience. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about licensing records into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with licensing records. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Grand Rapids. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
