Software Engineer - mobile experience (remote)

Bright Orchard Energy is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on mobile experience for outage response, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 558 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with outage response. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Phoenix. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
