Software Engineer - mobile experience (remote)

Bright Wren Transit Planning is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on mobile experience for route schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about route schedules into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with route schedules. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Charleston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
