Software Engineer - mobile experience (remote)

Fernwood Fox Community Partners is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on mobile experience for food distribution, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about food distribution into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with food distribution. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Minneapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
