Software Engineer - mobile experience (remote)

Greenridge Pike Learning Group operates schools and learning programmes around Virginia Beach, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our mobile experience. You would join a large organisation of about 424 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about school calendars into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with school calendars. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Virginia Beach. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
