Software Engineer - mobile experience (remote)

We are growing our team at Amberfield West Transit Planning and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be mobile experience. You would join a small organisation of about 194 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about accessibility audits into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with accessibility audits. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
