Software Engineer - mobile experience (remote)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Granite Water Authority and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be mobile experience. You would join a large organisation of about 539 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about pipe repairs into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with pipe repairs. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Jacksonville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
