Software Engineer - mobile experience (remote)

Summit Quill Telecom is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on mobile experience for field visits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 669 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about field visits into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with field visits. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Richmond. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
