Software Engineer - mobile experience (remote)

Redstone Basin Telecom is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on mobile experience for outage reports, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We invest in training. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about outage reports into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with outage reports. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Oakland. • We reply to every applicant.
