Software Engineer - mobile experience (remote)

Harborlight Forge Energy Group is an energy provider in Orlando focused on reliable service and fair billing. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on mobile experience. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about hardship programmes into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with hardship programmes. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Orlando. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
