Software Engineer - mobile experience (remote)

Westbrook Corner Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Pittsburgh and nearby communities. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on mobile experience. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with capital projects. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Pittsburgh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
