Software Engineer - mobile experience (Philadelphia, PA)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Timber Insurance Partners and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be mobile experience. You would join a small organisation of about 142 people based in Philadelphia. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about underwriting files into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with underwriting files. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Philadelphia. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
